Do Sweat The Small Stuff
Just the other day, the Holy Spirit prompted me to do something that was no big deal really. I was just too busy and didn't feel that it was important enough to make time for. After debating this fact with the Lord for several minutes, I basically said, "God, you can do whatever you want! You don't need me to do it - You can just do it!" He responded quite quickly saying, "I'm well aware of this, but I choose to use you. I, the Father of all Creation choose you. My choosing to use you gives you purpose, it gives you a reason to live each day. I deliberately seek to use you because it's there that you find your true purpose."
Silenced, I walked on to do the task that He had originally asked me to do. I don't believe that God is how we often see Him. He's not up there pointing and declaring to us to do this and do that. He wants us to ask, He wants us to walk constantly in that state of obedience. So many tasks that we may deem as small and insignificant may unlock a supernatural miracle. If He says that He can even use our smallest amount of faith, that of a mustard seed, then how great must the small things actually be? I want to be one that sees the little and believes it might just be the key to unleashing the huge. I want to walk as Jesus did, stopping and doing things that most others viewed as unworthy of their time. His thoughts aren't our thoughts and neither are His ways our ways. But with more time in His presence, I'll continue to get a greater understanding of who He is and how He works, each day attaining more Christ likeness than the previous. Jesus Himself said in John 14:12 that "He (you and me) will do even greater things" than He did while on this earth. So, today I'm choosing to look for the little things because it's there that He chooses to use me to initiate the greatest miracles of all.
