2009 - Spiritual Declarations

This morning I ran across a fellow friends blog that asked people to post their "spiritual resolutions for 2009". I liked the idea, as it stirs within me plans of execution and grand expectations for my part in this new year. So, I ask you, what have you set your gaze on for 2009? Who have you determined to see set free in Christ? What have you decided to take on as a responsibility to intercede in prayer for? Now I'm not asking you to just come up with a list for list's sake, I truly want us to seek the LORD as to why we live and breathe in this season of time. We may just be the generation that literally ushers in the culmination of all time. It is our responsibility as Believers to know what the Spirit is saying in this hour... and then get to doing it.

Here's my list, simple yet challenging when set beside this worldly agenda that is all around us.

I will release the Kingdom of God into the kingdom of Earth.

I will walk as the Ambassador for Christ that I am now seated in heavenly places to be.

I will unconditionally love all, expecting nothing in return.

I will abhor compromise and tolerate no worthless thing set before me.

I will tear down spiritual strongholds and powers with the authority of the Word.

I will open up my life and time more to others, willingly and selflessly sharing all that God is speaking.

I will stand tall upon the Word of God without wavering. God's Law is absolute Law.

I will walk in power, authority and absolute confidence in who I am in Christ.

I will redefine Christianity to a world who knows not the true reality and purpose of The Christ.

I will keep my gaze upon my Father, expecting Him to open heavens and take me places yet unseen.

So, how about you? What will you stand up and declare as so for you in 2009? Let your voice and declaration be heard before God and men!

I declare that this year I will fall madly in love with My Father... which will then allow me to....

Love others with unconditional love.

I choose to be different in a world of sameness and mediocrity.

I will see family and friends freed from their bondage because I am believing Christ to free them daily.

I will become the worshipper that He desires of me, regardless of how I look or what people think of me.

I will become more like Him and less like myself as I choose to pursue Him with all of me.

I will no longer let other people's shortcomings determine who I am.

I will be the woman of God that God called me to be.

I will no longer let fear and doubt control my actions.

I will be the voice of God and allow him to use me more effectively according to his purposes.

I will consult the Word of God before I turn to logic.

I will live, move, and breath by faith and not by sight.

I will be an adequate ambassador for Christ and walk in his authority.

I will expect nothing less than that which God promised and accept nothing less than things that are good and perfect.

I'll strive to leave behind anything and everything that is not according to the Word of God. I'll do my best to truly represent Christ and His purposes and plans. I'll continue to leave behind the religious ways that have been engrained into me for years. Oh, and I'll stop eating so much junk food. ;)

Where am I going in 2009, what are my goals, where do I want to find myself when this year ends?
I was reading Paul’s letter to the Corinthians in II Cor 5: 14,15 NKJV “ For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; 15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.”
Therefore; I have set my course in 2009 to do just that, living no longer for myself but for Him Who died for me and rose again.
Paul also spoke in II Cor 5:17 NKJV “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
So I choose this New Year to find out who the Word says I am when It says I am in Christ and then display that in all areas of my life.
Finally Ephesians 4:32 NKJV Paul encourages the believer in Christ to “And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you.” This tells me there is no room for hanging onto grudges, hurts, or offenses in
2009.
Christ is in me and I in Him, therefore this is possible.

Brother, I love your resolutions. Here are mine!

I will be more vigilant to contend for the spiritual territory entrusted to me, remembering the battle belongs to the Lord. I am only his battle axe.

I will be instant to obey the voice of the Lord and everything in which the Lord prompts me to do. Ex 23:22 But if you indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries (in the spiritual realm).

I will strive to continutely praise God and focus on what God HAS done and is doing instead of focusing on what God has not done yet!

I will walk in more love, more power, and more of him and less of me.

I will walk in discipline in the areas of health and weigth.
