Yahweh's Feasts ARE A Shadow of What Is To Come!

For those of us who believe that Yahweh has one set apart People and one way to live, His Feasts are an incredible way to celebrate and memorialize all that He has done.

On the Creator’s calendar, Spring rolls in and so does the new year. The first month is the incredible opportunity to join in with all of Creation as all is beginning anew. And what a better way to do that than by remembering Father’s wonderful acts on the behalf of men!

He's always been Savior. He’s always been Rescuer. He’s always been Deliverer. By literally “keeping” Father’s Feasts, we get to intentionally insert ourselves into His covenantal story. Those who went before us celebrated the Feasts of Yahweh looking back upon what He had done and ahead to what will be. Although many miss this – we do the exact same thing today.

There is much behind. There is much yet before. We’re all in an atonement condition, awaiting the culmination of the ages. Paul understood this clearly when he penned, “These (Festivals, New Moon and Sabbath) are a foreshadowing of things to come, but the substance belongs to Messiah.” (Colossians 2) Did you catch that? In Colossians 2, Paul tells the Assembly that the Feasts are a shadow of what is yet to come. Yes, the substance is Messiah. Yes! We have both the substance and the shadow! The shadow is cast - both directions.

I hope that you know of this wonderful invitation to celebrate and memorialize Yahweh’s Feasts. Yes, there is a cost to walk away from religious traditions of men. It will likely cost you your reputation and get you labeled as odd. But the trade-off is surely a good one.

You will join into a set apart People that have always been labeled as identifiable and unique - set apart (qadosh: holy). Father’s Ways are surely higher than ours and I’m fine with that! How about you?
