A Constant Creation

Yahweh is all about creating. In the Genesis account, we see Him speak a vast, habitable land, with heavens above, into existence. We see luminaries created and then set in place to rule the day and night and to set His Appointed Times.

Mankind appears, created to guard and rule over His Creation. Time moves on and the earth needs cleansed of mixing. He creates again, on the other side of the Flood event. Then, He creates a set apart People through a man named Abraham. He creates a specific Law for His People to be set apart according to. Through men, he creates an earthly Tabernacle that mirrors the heavenly One. Time and time again, He creates covenants with righteous, set apart men.
Then, He creates a Son - placed within the womb of a virgin. Travelling along through time, and out the other side of Messiah, we arrive at today’s verse. All the way into our generation, Father is still creating. While much of His creation is up to His own discretion, this new creation however is dependent upon the hearts of men. One can become a new creation, a literally new creature. But there are criteria. He must be found “in” Messiah. What does this mean?
We see this principle demonstrated within the Father and the Son. They were (are) “echad” which signifies that they are absolutely identical in purpose and will. There is no autonomy in Their function for it is the same. As we see all over the recorded words of Yeshua, one must go through Him to get to the Father. One must be found “in” Him in order to be known by His Father. We see this in many places, as with John 14, “In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. Whoever has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by my Father, and I will love Him and disclose/reveal myself to him.”
So, what about you, friend? How do you know that you are a new creation? You must follow the biblical pattern. Have you solidified the “if” part of this verse? To be “in” Messiah, one must walk as He walked. We must give our lives to learn what made Him to be a pleasing Son that was counted worthy to become our Great High Priest, forever! Let us continue to do our part to allow Father to continue to be an awesome Creator!
