Anxious or Peaceful?

Gas prices. The cost of groceries. Evil men at border crossings who want to kill our children and steal all of our jobs. Good guy versus the bad guy (whichever team you cheer for.) If “this one” wins these “bad things” will happen to you. If “this guy” wins, this version of “bad things” will happen to you. The public loses and the captains of the games win, yet again. Men are crippled with fear and dread, easily riled up to no end and then driven to respond, out of that fear. Man is led to believe that he must individually decide the fate of a nation and is pressed to “take control” to produce an already pre-determined outcome that is above them, literally. In an age of chaos, lawlessness and endless calls from the loudest mouths of the governments of men that make a living off of you becoming fearful, please consider this truth today, won’t you? Fearful men make irrational and poor decisions, sourced from, and flowing out of manipulated thinking. I don’t see much peace around these days. How about we consider becoming sojourners again and return to Yahweh’s ways, as we await a better country? As for me and my house, we will continue to erect an ark, preparing for the floodwaters to one day come into our own backyard. One King. One Kingdom. One that will not be found here within the kingdoms of men. Let us actively trade in worry and anxiety for prayer and petition today. Perhaps then, peace will truly rule in our hearts and in our homes. Selah.
