How to Keep From Stumbling

I just finished recording a video discussing some things that really concern me, in regards to the current condition of Christianity and their volatility towards Father's commandments. In my study portion of the episode, I spent some time looking into the pattern of what takes place when men say “no” to walking in the Creator’s "ancient, good way." Biblically, YHWH responds by placing “stumbling blocks” in the path of these who refuse to acknowledge and yield to His Instructions.

The Hebrew word for stumbling block is “miksol” and it is used to describe “something that one falls over; an offense.” The prophet Jeremiah recorded that YHWH spoke and said that He would “lay stumbling blocks before this people” in response to their rebellion and unwillingness to listen. My concern is that it's being repeated again today.

As I continued to write towards this, I landed upon today’s verse and the antidote of “miksol” (stumbling) emerged. “Those who love Your Torah have great peace, and nothing causes them to ‘miksol’ (stumble).” So, the question yet again is this: do we really believe the words of the Bible? Is this a promise? Was it only dispensationally tied to a certain people and/or generation, or is it truth eternal? I am wholly convinced of the latter.

What most of us have been told is merely “empty legalism” is not at all what the authors of the Bible seemed to think as they wrote.

Can you speak the ancient words of David? Can you declare the Scriptures that say, “Father I love your Torah! Those who love Your Torah have great peace and nothing causes them to stumble?” It’s my hope that you will think on these things today. Selah.
