Knowing the Truth: The Best Defense

The religious ones that had replaced the Most High’s Torah with their own traditions were always attempting to use Father’s commands to trap Messiah. Of course, it was futile as Yeshua fully understood what it meant to “keep” (shamar) the commandments.

Interestingly, the same religious mindset continues on today.

Religious forms still abound and supersede the Creator’s perfect ways. Sadly, many uneducated ones use texts such as these to teach “See! Jesus broke the Sabbath. That's why He's 'Lord of the Sabbath' now!” No. That’s simply a poor handling of the Word.

So, what are we to do then, when people slander and accuse, while wielding an errant approach to the commandments as a weapon? We look to Messiah and model His actions. The key? He fully knew what was lawful. He had studied and adhered to the commandments so that false accusations of “breaking” them were ineffective and actually exposed His accusers as the vipers that they were.

The best weapon against false accusations is simply knowing the truth, friend.

Know what is “lawful.” Know what is not. No matter what indictments may come, simply cling to the commandments the best that you can and move forward. The enemy cannot stand against this simple, yet powerful approach to living. When we do so, we will look more and more like our wonderful Messiah Yeshua. Selah.
